Enrolment Information
Suzanne Cory High School is a government select entry school
Entry to the school is contingent on sitting and successfully passing an entrance exam, which is conducted by Acer (Year 9) and Edutest (Years 10 & 11) on behalf of the Victorian Department of Education. Students who have not sat an exam will not be considered for admission.
Each year, Suzanne Cory High School accepts approximately 200 students at Year 9 level, and a minimum of 26 students at Years 10 and up to 24 students at Year 11. We do not enrol students at Year 12.
Entry at Year 11 is available in two streams—International Baccalaureate or Arts, Humanities and LOTE—with up to 12 places per stream.
Year 10 applicants can specify if they are interested in applying to enrol in the International Baccalaureate.
Year 10 and 11 applicants may be required to complete a written response and supporting documentation in order to qualify.
Suzanne Cory is not zoned; our student body is drawn from suburbs across Melbourne.
Suzanne Cory does not take international students unless the student is a holder of a visa or ImmiCard, which would exempt them from paying International Student Fees.

Understanding the PDC
The school’s selection panel will review the remaining results and invite longlisted applicants to submit a written application to be considered for our Principal’s Discretion Category (PDC)
Students wishing to enrol in Year 11 must have selected either the IB stream or the ADT, Humanities & LOTE stream to be considered for longlisting. Please note that subject selection requirements must be met to be considered for both of these streams.
The selection panel is appointed by the Principal, who has final approval. Decisions are based on a range of factors including academic performance, gender equity, alignment with the school’s values and educational priorities, as well as the applicant’s performance during the interview process.
Written Application
The written application helps the panel shortlist applicants for a PDC interview.
